Manali is the one of the best hill stations of India. Summer in Manali is as beautiful as winters. You may witness Lush green forest, Colourful flowers and mighty Beas River with sky touching mountains ranges. We do a trek for Bhrighu lake for more height gaining. Bhrigu Lake Trek is a trek to a sanctified lake located at a height of 4300 meters in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is in a shape of an oval and lies near the Rohtang pass. The name of the lake is derived from the name of Sage Bhrigu. According to the village people, Sage Bhrigu spent his time meditating near the lake and that is how the lake got its name. The trek moves by green forests, immense meadows, and hilly ridges where one finally gets the sight of Bhrigu Lake. Bhrigu Lake Trek lasts for about three days starting from Manali. The Bhrigu Lake lies at an enormous height of 14,100 feet. Bhrigu lake trek’s history is quite interesting. It is believed that son of Lord Brahma -Maharishi Bhrigu used to meditate near the lake thousands of years ago. Therefore, this pure and blessed lake is named after him. Bhrigu lake trek itinerary also includes going to Raoli Kholi. From here, you’ll move on to Gulaba. This village has beautiful snow. The journey will take you through lush, green meadows and virgin forests. These lead you to the open camping site of Raoli Kholi with pretty amazing views. Raoli Kholi lies at the foundation of the trek and is considered as the Advance Base Camp of the trek. Night camping here provides an amazing experience. It is a perfect destination for shutterbugs as the entire sky lights up with millions of stars at night. Nature lovers will definitely enjoy love this peaceful view. Bhrigu lake has come a long way in tourism due to its mesmerizing views. While on your journey, you’ll get to watch Seven Sisters peaks and Hanuman Tibba. Along with this, you can also have a look of Deo Tibba. You will also be travelling all the way up to the lake.
Itinerary
Departure from Ahmedabad in Train.
Reporting point: Ahmedabad Railway Station at Kalupur at 10:00AM. Overnight train journey.
After reaching Pathankot, you will get free time to visit the town till 8 PM. Your vehicles will leave from the Pathankot Station Parking at 8:00 PM. We will travel overnight on the roads towards Manali. The vehicles will take frequent halts during the night for safe and comfortable journey.
After reporting at Campsite, the leader will brief you after Breakfast. He will introduce you with the team members, guides. The day is for acclimatization. The Camp Leader and Senior Guide will brief you about the packing for the upcoming days and you will be asked to deposit the remaining luggage to a room.
Breakfast at Campsite. After breakfast, drive From Manali to Gulaba and Trek from Gulaba to Raoli Kholi. (3hrs – 4hrs)
Once we are Gulaba, we'll begin our trek to our first base camp at Raoli Kholi. The dinner is going to be served at Raoli Kholi and tents are going to be allotted at the campsite.
Trek To Bhrigu Lake from Raoli Kholi. (7hrs-8hrs)
Today trekking will take us another time unto high plateaus above the Kullu valley. We start the day early and post breakfast we'll begin trekking towards Bhrigu Lake. It takes around 3 hours to succeed in Bhrigu. we'll carry packed lunch and have it by the lakeside. Care should be taken that no littering happens up here. consistent with many accounts Rishi Bhrigu meditated here. After lunch, we'll descend to Moridogu campsite and relax for the remainder of the day. And trek back to Raoli Kholi base camp stay overnight.
Trek Back to Gulaba and Departure to Manali (3hrs-4hrs)
After the Breakfast, we'll trek right down to Kulang. The trek is straightforward because it features a moderate descend throughout and can take around 3-4 hours to succeed in Kulang. Drive to Manali. Overnight Stay in Camp
Today is our last day in Manali. After breakfast, you can explore local market of Manali and try local cuisine in the market. You are advised to reach campsite before 5PM. We will leave Manali at 6 PM for Pathankot.
Morning arrival to Pathankot. Train will leave Pathankot station at 10:30AM. Overnight train journey.
We will reach Ahmedabad at 03:00PM. Trip ends here.
